Fire protection is an important part of a security system. As soon as smoke is detected, a monitored smoke detector notifies QEI operators who can dispatch the the fire department. This quick response can minimize damage and save lives.

Plus, when part of one system with home automation devices like a smart thermostat, lights and locks, a monitored smoke detector is even more powerful. The system can be programmed to shut down the HVAC unit when smoke is detected so smoke is not filtered throughout the house. The system can also be programmed to turn on the lights and unlock the doors when the monitored smoke detector is triggered. This will make it easier for resident to exit the home.
